Okay almost everyone has ordered a BigMac (I don't eat meat so in my case it would be a large extra, extra cheese pizza) with a diet soft drink. My life seems to be full of these contradictions. I love to travel (I am the person who starts planning the next trip on the way home from the current trip) but my favorite place on earth is my couch, with my dog Oakley and my quilts that my grandmother made. I enjoy keeping my house clean and tidy but I feel that spending time and enjoying time with my husband is more important than putting dinner on the table every night. My favorite radio personalities are Alison Stewart, Anne Garrels (from NPR) and (and this is a bit embarrassing) Lex and Terry. I am impatient but get extremely nervous when time passes too quickly. I love to know about the latest trends, movies, books but feel that you should be able to quote at least half of the movie or tv show to consider it a favorite. I confess all my faults much too readily but really want everyone to think I can do it all (easily). I love to catch up with old friends but would rather meet in person than talk on the phone. And finally- I believe (probably my core, deepest belief) that God has a plan and purpose for everyone here on earth but I am terrified that I will somehow mess mine up.

How a Prissy Girl Ended Up in the Polluted World of Environmental Science- Introduction Part 1
I love high heels shoes (an essential since I am only 4'11"), talking endlessly about the personal lives of other people (those that are famous and those that I know personally), and read obsessively (really everything from classic literature to signs on door fronts), so how did I end up majoring and working in Environmental Science? Its a long story. Here is part 1- Contradictions and Confessions.
